Application Deadlines

New students may submit their application for a need-based scholarship at any time after receiving electronic acceptance notice for studies at the Technion. On the Technion website they will be prompted to enter their personal ID and file number.

New students will receive an immediate reply about their request for a need-based scholarship. These automated responses are sent from our computer system and are based on the online scholarship registration statement.

Upon reviewing the details of each potential candidate, the applicant is sent an email confirming the receipt of all relevant documentation and the final scholarship amount determined in accordance with the documents received.

As the date approaches for the first installment of the scholarship (typically near the end of December), all eligible students will receive an email detailing the conditions of their scholarship.

The scholarship money is transferred directly to the Department of Student Accounts where it is deposited directly in the students’ bank account. There are two installments, one at the end of December and another in February.

Please note: Students who wish to receive an explanation for their scholarship decision are welcome to do so during our office hours.

Thank You Letters

Every student receiving a need-based scholarship is requested to write a Scholarship Thank You Letter to their donor. Details will be sent to your personal email to students directly from the Public Affairs and Resource Development (PARD).

We wish you a fascinating study period at Technion and invite you to benefit from services offered by the Dean of Students Office!

The Personal Assistance Unit is also responsible for attaining external scholarship sources for students who require further financial aid, beyond what is granted through the Dean of Students Scholarships.
NGOs and external funding programs provide special scholarships to students of diverse population groups. The scholarships are intended for tuition assistance, and some may also assist in funding living expenses incurred during the period of study.

Our staff recommends recipients for scholarships granted through external sources. Therefore, we urge you to speak with us about your financial situation so that we may assist you in finding a suitable solution.
